One of the most important criteria in choosing a window is always energy efficiency.  The Energium window is the first aluminum window in Canada to fulfill ENERGY STAR requirements, and it is also CSA certified.

IMPERMEABILITY
The installation of sealed units in our window frames is accomplished through a commercial technique known as Curtain Walls, used in skyscrapers to ensure maximum air and water tightness.

COMPONENTS

WEATHER STRIPPING
Our weather stripping is made of very durable polymers of the same type as those used in the automotive industry.  Most importantly, if needed, our weather stripping is easy to replace.

THERMAL BARRIER
Working in collaboration with Dynaplast Extruco inc., a member of the  Tessenderlo Group, GIT has developed an innovative, highly energy efficient thermal barrier, featuring a thick, heavy-duty structure with welded corners that  surpasses the highest industry criteria.

LOCKING SYSTEM AND WINDOW OPENINGS
Our windows feature a very safe, multi-point locking system with stainless steel bar and keepers that will not rust.  Our steel hinges and operating mechanism allow for single openings of up to 36" (W) x 72" (H) per operating section (casement), and 48" x 36" (awning).

WINDOW SCREEN
The screen frames are profiled and made of extruded aluminum ensuring a superior rigidity.  The screen mesh is made of black aluminum which adds to the aesthetics of the window.

FASTENERS
It is important to note that all screws exposed to the weather are made of stainless steel, which prevents running rust on the frames.

DESIGN
The design of our new windows will easily blend with the exterior look of existing and older window models still on the market.

ENDURING COLORS
In addition, the interior of the window is entirely in aluminum and has a refined look.  A wide range of colors is available to match your windows to the style of your home and your interior decor.  The colors are durable and will not alter with the sun or the cold, as is the case with many other products.
